The farmhouse was built around a little 13th century romanesque church and has been restored, maintaining its architectural character. We have 7 holiday flats for 2-4 persons, all with shower, kitchenette, telephone and central heating. Here you will find a familiar atmosphere and the tranquillity of the tuscan countryside, even though the main cultural centers of Tuscany and the seaside are not far away. Pisa, Siena and Florence are an hour's drive away, San Gimignano can be reached by car within 30 minutes and Volterra in 3-5 minutes.

Volterra is a most interesting small city with a great etruscan, roman and medieval past. There are many monuments to see, such as the famous Etruscan Museum, the Civic Art Gallery, the Roman Theatre, the Cathedral and last but not least the many alabaster workshops. At Volterra you will find three supermarkets, about 20 restaurants and pizzerias, lots of nice bars, a cinema, theaters and any kind of shops. A hospital with all departments is near by, half way to our farmhouse.

At San Lorenzo you can relax on your private terrace (holiday flats I - IV) or on the common terraces (all), play table tennis, walk through the near woods, watch birds and rare animals and refresh yourself in the biological pool (no chemical additives) near the house among water lilies and marvelous colored dragon-flies. If you prefer swimming in the sea, the coast with the nice city of Cecina is only a 40 minutes drive away. After a day on the seaside you will appreciate the tranquillity of our farmhouse and the comfort of your holiday flat.

Accommodation at San Lorenzo

You can choose among eight comfortable apartments. We have accommodations for up to 19 guests, so the atmosphere is very family-like. You will find a description of each holiday flat in the pricelist

Each apartment has a kitchen or kitchenette for self-catering. On request you can have also breakfast or half board with the dinner in our small mideval church.
